Dear Gerbes and Stielper Families,
I am so sorry Kas  left you too soon and know there is now a big void in your lives. I hope your memories will comfort you and help sustain you  throughout this difficult time. I worked with Kas and Jim (Blood Donor Services at MedStar Health). Upon meeting her, I was immediately struck by her warmth and genuine interest in helping me understand certain aspects of the department. She was kind and lovely inside and out , and SO loved talking about her family. You all were her heart. I enjoyed seeing her interact with Jim at work - never failed to bring a smile.

May her memory be for a blessing, now and forever.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I’m sure Kas is now singing with the angels. 
I always enjoyed seeing her face book post. She was so caring and loving to her grand kids.

Dear family, 
So unbelievable, so quick. God Speed is a fast moving event. 
Kas was just an incredibly warm , beautiful and kind woman . Her spirt seemed to eminate from her smile and the twinkle in her eyes. Her grace was felt when you were with her. When I was a young girl, just loved being with her, she had  a beautiful voice and sang a song about a cat in the window watching all the birds go passing by… still remember that. Would always ask her to sing that. Drove with her one day in her convertible to pick up her then policeman boyfriend who later became her husband. Thought that was so cool. Always thought one day I would have one too because my cousin was so cool (the convertible)! 
Asked if she would be my daughters god mother because it just felt right. She was that kind of person. 
That she is no longer with us will be felt by all who were lucky enough to have her in their life.  Wish she had been in our lives more.

To the Gerbes Family,

Kas was my bingo friend.  I didn't go much but when I did I loved to sit next to Kas.  She always had such a bright smile!  We both loved crafts and our pets and marbles!  She will be so missed at the table.  I hope there are bingo games in heaven and that Kas wins every one!  I know I was a winner by just being able to call her a friend.

My condolences to her family.  I know she will be so missed.  May God give you comfort in your grief.

I knew Kathy when we were students at Mercy High School.  She was my 'big sister'.  Kathy was kind and helpful to me as I learned my way around high school.  The recent picture of her reminds me of her smile and beautiful hair.

To Aunt Kas,

It's hard to put into words the sadness that your passing has left in my heart. When I think of family, I think of the memories we've shared over the years. The cabin days in Tennessee, our trip to Washington DC with you and Uncle Dick, and my favorite surprise, your visit at my wedding reception in 2021. That you came all the way from Baltimore to celebrate with Rebecca and me was a gesture we'll never forget.

Distance may have kept us from being present at your funeral, but know that our thoughts, our love, and our prayers are with you and the entire family during this sorrowful time. Aunt Kas, your spirit, your kindness, and your love have touched us in ways words can scarcely express. You are missed beyond measure.

Hi Kas,
    Your death has made two things very clear to me. Life is so very fragile and Life can change in the blink of an eye. It was not even a week ago they were saying you could come home from the hospital and then go back for your treatments. That certainly changed in a hurry.
You were fighting the good fight and I thought you were going to be able to come out on the other side of this thing.  Fate had other plans however. We just wish we could have had a little more time with you.
A little bit more of your abundant kindness, a little bit more of your zest for life and little bit more of the love that you had for your family. In that blink of an eye, many people have been left wondering how their world will be the same without you. We will just have to sustain ourselves on the memories and the love that you gave us while you were here. In show business, they say "Always leave the audience wanting more".  Well, you absolutely did that. See you on the other side, say "Hi" to everyone for us.

My name is Chasitey Allison and Mrs. Katherine (KAS) was my Supervisor for years at MedStar Blood Donor Services. She was such a loving and kind woman. She always stayed the same. Always smiling and laughing. I can hear her laugh now. She was by far the best supervisor I’ve ever had. My heart is saddened, but I know she’s in a better place. To her husband Mr. James I would like to take time and say that I’m so so sorry for your loss. I pray that GOD will continue to comfort and strengthen you and the rest of your family at this very difficult time. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. With deepest sympathy and condolences. I had the pleasure of working with Kas for many years at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was one of the kindest people I've ever met. We shared alot of laughs about how she was the "BOSS" of Mr.G. 
She would share stories about her adventures with her grand kids, she really adored them. Kas was one of a kind and will be missed by all who has crossed her path.
