Katherine “Katie” Renee Rust (Santoro), age 43, of White Hall, Maryland passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022; beloved wife of Michael Santoro; devoted mother of Victoria, Michael and Lincoln Santoro; dear sister of Jennifer Rust, and Mandy Rust Schrecengost; sister-in-law of Alison Santoro and Dominic Santoro and Bob Schrecengost; loving daughter of Cheryl Carroll Rust and the late Robert Rust; daughter-in-law of Michael and Brenda Santoro. Also survived by her nieces and nephews Chase, Reed, Nic, Brynn, Bobby, and Summer; her beloved dog Pepper.
Katie was an exceptional wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was also a patient advocate for the National Kidney Foundation.
A “Fall Casual Attire” visitation for Katie will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Nottingham.
