Judy was born June 16, 1943 in Pipestem West Virginia to the late Earl and Wilma Foster (nee Snuffer). Judy was preceded in death by her husband William Donald Disharoon. She is survived by her beloved children: Kim Smith and her spouse Mike, Laurie Price, Shelley Disharoon and her spouse Malea Haacke, Randy Disharoon and his spouse Susan, and Todd Disharoon and his spouse Maggie; her beloved sister, Barbara Carol Patrick and brother-in-law Charles Patrick; her adoring grandchildren: Stefanie Smith, Angela Martnick, Tyler Price, Janelle Price, Zachary Disharoon, Seth Disharoon, Abigail Disharoon, Connor Disharoon, Bowen Disharoon, and Beckley Disharoon; proud great grandmother of Kamdyn Martnick, Ian Martnick, and Griffin Price Mullaney; her brother-in-law Dr. Richard Disharoon, his spouse Carole and his children Kerry Sue and Sherry Lynn; her niece Bethany Jennings, her spouse Ron and daughter Lauren; and her nephew David Patrick.
Judy had a lifelong love of everything to do with medicine. She graduated from Strayer Business College and knew early on she wanted to work in the medical field. Judy had started a career as a medical transcriptionist at Overlea Medical Center; where she met and shortly after married Don. She finished as the Coordinator of the Institutional Review Board at GBMC hospital, where she worked for 16 years. She was dedicated and hardworking. She never asked for a raise, just loved what she did and happy to work long and hard to get the job done.
Judy’s Christian faith and her love of her children was pronounced to all she met. She would tell the same story over and over. She could not have been prouder when talking about them and her grandchildren.
Family and friends may gather at the Fallston United Methodist Church, 1509 Fallston RD, Fallston, MD 21047, on Friday, January 3rd, from 10 to 11am, at which time a memorial service will begin. A graveside service will follow at Parkwood Cemetery, 3310 Taylor Avenue, Parkville, MD 21234. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s name to the Perry Hall Baptist Church, 3919 Schroeder Avenue, Perry Hall, MD 21128, or Gilchrist Hospice, 11311 McCormick Rd, Ste. 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
