John J. Schmitt Sr.

On July 23, 2017, John Joseph Schmitt, Sr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of Judy Ross Schmitt; loving father of John Joseph Schmitt, Jr. and his wife Tamara; loving grandfather of Michael Ross Schmitt, and Laura Elizabeth Marie Schmitt; dear brother of Marilyn Bertrand, and the late James Schmitt. Also survived by many loving extended family members and friends. John served 2 years in the United States Army, as well as 27 years as a Fire Fighter with Baltimore County. John was also an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236, on July 29, 2017, for a receiving of friends from 10am -12pm. A memorial service will follow at 12pm. Interment services will be private.
