Catherine Cecelia Martel

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Joseph Martel, her son Robert Joseph Martel, Jr., and her brother Donald Burton. She is survived by her devoted children, Ann Martel Johnson, Carol Martel Smith and her husband Gerald Smith, Jr., Sandra Michele Martel and her husband Steven R. Wells, and Barbara Martel Puglisi and her husband Mark J. Puglisi; loving grandchildren, Nicholas E. Johnson and his wife Elizabeth McCrory, Brian B. Smith and his wife Elizabeth Schaffer, Kristen M. Smith, Elisabeth H. Johnson, Jason R. Smith, Caitlin M. Smith and her fiancé Richard Bonsi, Emma N. Puglisi and Grace C. Puglisi; dear brother, Lawrence Burton and his wife Iris, and sister-in-law Marge Burton.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236 on, Monday, October 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Further visitation will occur on, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Oak Crest Chapel, 8820 Walther Blvd., Parkville, MD 21234, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flower, donations can be made to the FUNDLY Kelly McHugh Memorial Fund. Kelly was the loving wife of Catherine's nephew Danny. Kelly recently passed on after a long battle with breast cancer at the age of 59.
