Our sincere condolences from the Grochowski Family to the Amrhein Family. Cookie lived a great long life!

Anne "Cookie" worked in the operating room with my deceased husband, Dr. Hans Wilhelmsen, and I remember he always liked working with her and the rest of the team.  
She was also the soloist at our wedding in 1998 and I remember she had a beautiful voice.  
I am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and your family.

My prayers and condolences to Ann’s entire family. She is a special and dear friend to me and will be missed.  We know she now rests in eternal peace, in the loving arms of God.

The memories of my sister, Anna, are so full.  I remember being in her wedding as a flower girl when I was 5 years old.  I remember spending summer days at her home on Ardley Avenue and going to plays with her.  I remember staying at her timeshare in Ocean City, Maryland.  In time, I married not once but twice and was not living near her.  Yet, at some point, we decided we would call each other every night and we did!  Anna was able to visit me once when I lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in Jacksonville, Florida three times and we traveled to Tennessee for a vacation together.  Over time I began to call her my Little big sister and she referred to me as her Big little sister.  We signed cards to each other with this salutation.  We had a life together until just a few short years ago when Anna began to lose her voice.  Thus, talking on the phone at night or in person was simply my sharing my day with her.  I did travel to see her in March this year and it was a short but wonderful visit.  Yet, I knew it was only a matter of time that she would be leaving this earth.  The last day I spoke with Anna was on Wednesday, December 7th, when she cut short our phone visit but said she would me call back later.  She never did!  I will miss my sister in this life.  We had a good life as sisters.  And, I know I will see her again in the next life, Heaven.  Peace be with you dear Little, big sister.  I will always love you. 

Cookie was a dependable volunteer on the Mother Baby Unit @ 
Mercy Medical Center. She always had a smile on her face and the time to talk with new mothers. She loved sharing stories about her 
Grandson, Austin! Cookie will be missed by all.
