Thomas W. Mazza

Beloved husband of Carol (Donnnelly) Mazza of Tequesta, FL. Loving father of Thomas W. Mazza, Jr and his wife Christine of Lexington and Carla Ko and her husband Charlie of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of David, John and Lauren Mazza as well as Andrew, Daniel and James Ko. Dear brother of James Mazza of Vermont, Ann Matthews of Watertown, Carmen “Butchie” Mazza of Florida and the late Joseph Mazza. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Born in Waltham, Thomas was raised in Watertown, MA. After graduating high school, he honorably served his country in the US Army Reserves and Massachusetts National Guard, Yankee Division for the 114th Medical Battalion as a medical officer and a supply/logistics officer. After serving for 36 years, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

During his retirement years, He loved spending time making cherished memories with his grandchildren. Tom will be forever remembered as a lifelong Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Funeral Service from Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood, Tuesday at 8:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 19th at 10:00AM in St. Bartholomew Church, 1180 Greendale Ave., Needham. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery & Arboretum, 791 Walnut Street, Newton, MA 02459. Visiting hours will be held Monday, February 18th from 4:00-7:00pm.
