Kerry A. Faherty

Kerry Ann Faherty, 62 of Norwood MA, passed away on March 10, 2024, after a long battle with complications associated with diabetes.

Kerry was born on July 10, 1961 in Norwood, to John and Sheila Faherty (Carter). Kerry was a graduate of Norwood High School class of 1979.

Kerry had such fond memories of the neighborhood where she grew up and made lifelong friends along the way.

Kerry started her first job at Dedham Chrysler as a member of the office, kickstarting an over 30-year career as an office manager in the automobile industry.

In 2017, Kerry retired and spent her time living in Gloucester MA with her sister Kathleen and her favorite pups (Gronk & Greta). She loved to cook and bake and take rides to the beach and watch the dogs play in the sand and water.

Kerry was predeceased by her father John Faherty, grandparents James and Mary Faherty and George and Julia Carter, aunt Mary Faherty, uncle James Faherty, aunt Ruth Carter and cousins Michelle Koelsch and Jamie Faherty.

She is survived by her mother Sheila Faherty, sister Kathleen Faherty, brothers John Faherty Jr (wife Laura), Kevin Faherty (partner Nancy), and Brian Faherty (wife Carol), her aunt Margie Koelsch (husband Gerry), her uncle Jack Carter, her nephews and nieces and many cousins.

At Kerry’s request all services will be held privately at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt.1A) NORWOOD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cape Ann Animal Aid. Kerry felt strongly about adopting animals that are surrendered, abandoned, abused, and need a loving home. https://www.capeannanimalaid.org
