Joseph F. Clancy

Born in Dorchester, he was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Clancy worked for Gibson Engineering Co. in Norwood for over 35 years.

Beloved husband of the late Dolores E. (Sheerin) Clancy; loving father of Robert P. Clancy and his wife Cynthia of Marion and the late Joseph F. Clancy, Jr. and William P. Clancy; cherished grandfather of Steven J. Clancy and Christine E. Clancy; proud great-grandfather of Liam and Bryn Clancy; devoted brother of the late Marie Clancy, Edward Clancy, Katherine Sullivan, Agnes Clancy, Thomas Clancy and Richard Clancy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30th at 11:30am in St. Timothy’s Church, 650 Nichols Street, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning, prior to the Mass from 10:00 – 11:00am at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood.
