VICTORIA, Janet F. (Whitney) age 78, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Jacksonville, FLA. Born in Boston, MA, Janet was a long-time resident of North Easton, Massachusetts, where she lived with her beloved husband, Richard Victoria, sister Helena Whitney, and nephew Joseph Whitney Dame. Janet was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Janet was known for her outstanding cooking skills, her talent for entertaining family and friends during meals and holiday gatherings, and her infectious smile and laughter. She brought joy and warmth to every gathering, making each occasion special with her culinary delights and vibrant personality. Her legacy of love and hospitality will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Janet joined her late husband, Richard Victoria, in eternal rest exactly 18 years after his passing on March 18, 2007. Their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to enduring love and devotion. Janet and Richard's bond was a beacon of hope and affection, touching the hearts of everyone around them. Their legacy of love will continue to inspire and comfort those who remember them.
Although Janet and Richard did not have biological children, they were loving bonus parents to many nieces and nephews. Janet was fiercely loved by her family in life, and her memory will be cherished by all forever. Her nurturing spirit and boundless affection created a strong, loving family bond. Janet's legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, George P. Whitney and Frances L. Giglio Whitney; her beloved husband, Richard Victoria; her sisters, Maria Whitney, Mary Jane Walls, and Carol Ann Whitney; and
her brothers, George F. Whitney, Thomas Whitney, and Joseph Whitney. Their memories, along with Janet's, will forever be cherished by those who loved them.
Janet leaves behind her loving brother, Paul J. Whitney and his wife Leigh; her two loving sisters, Linda Whitney and Helena Whitney; beautiful sisters-in-law, Dotti Victoria and Delores Victoria; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Her family will forever cherish the memories and love she shared with them.
Visitation will be held in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD on Thursday March 27 from 10-12, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in North Easton.
