A tomboy throughout her youth, Helen enjoyed growing up in a neighborhood “with the boys” and playing sports and the drums. As she grew older, she found a love of dance- specifically, the jitterbug, and hosted Friday night dances with friends. After high school, Helen began modeling for a time, working in retail, and serving as an administrative assistant at local offices for Ingersoll-Rand. It was during this time that Helen met her future husband-to-be, Albert P. Hall, who was serving in the Air Force at that time. After the war, the two married and settled in Dedham and then Norwood to raise a family.
Helen was a kind and caring individual with a penchant for wit and good humor. She adored spending time with her family especially during holidays where she would take pride in entertaining as the consummate hostess. She shared a love of ice cream and golf with her closest friends and would indulge in both whenever possible. A passionate animal lover, Helen loved dogs and raised three German Shepherds. Along with her beloved late husband, Albert, Helen took pride in the upkeep of her home and her car. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker, a mother, and grandmother, always looking after those she loved including her late mother, Lola, whom she cared for in her home until her passing.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Albert P. Hall of Norwood. Devoted mother to Robert Hall and his wife Joan. Adoring grandmother to her two granddaughters, Learra Leiper and her husband Thomas; and Sondria Berman and her husband Adam. Loving great-grandmother to her two great-granddaughters, Sasha and Kira Berman.
Helen’s Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Parish with a private interment ceremony to follow at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
