The son of Italian immigrants, David was born in Boston, MA. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and the West End of Boston, graduating from Boston Latin School before attending Boston University for one year. He served as an army medical technician in the Philippines during World War II, completed his undergraduate education at Boston University, followed by earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Known to many as “Dr. Fasano,” David’s solo dental practice was located in West Roxbury, MA for 32 years. He was a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society until his retirement in 1989. David was an avid reader, a movie aficionado, and a Boston sports fan, especially of the Red Sox. He had a sharp mind with attention to detail, enjoyed conversations with family and friends, and listened daily to his favorite music, which spanned several decades. He was goodhearted and generous.

Mary S. “Irvine” (Reynolds) Fasano. Devoted father to David R. Fasano of Norwood; Ann Capper and her husband Steve of Corning, NY; and Jane E. Robbins and her husband Barry of North Brookfield, MA. Loving “Papa” of Rosemary Mingle and her husband Kyle; Sarah Jane Capper; Joseph Capper; Ruthann Langdon and her husband Casey; and Eliza Pertessis and her husband Matt. Sweet great grandfather to Maria, Thomas, Payson and ElleAnna. Dear brother of Rita Smith, the late Robert Fasano and the late Frank Fasano. Also survived by many special nieces and nephews.
