Born on October 5, 1953, Rose was the daughter of Don and Belva Viele. She graduated Horicon Central School in Brant Lake, New York in 1971. She then met the love of her life Lyle (Jim) Knapp and moved to South Plymouth. Rose worked for the Shoe factory, Norwich Knitting Mill, Champions, Victory Bakery, Norwich Aerospace, and then finished her working career at Electron Coil. She loved to read, do crafts and draw. She was a very giving person with a heart of gold. She has given so many people/families so much, her favorite thing in life was helping others. She firmly believed that there is more happiness in giving than receiving. She also had an amazing sense of humor. Her kind words (or too honest opinions) were always so comforting.
Rose is predeceased by her loving husband Lyle (Jim)Knapp, parents Don and Belva (Wood)Viele, Stepfather Leo Wood, her brothers Ken and Sonny Viele, sister Shiela Ditslear. Her Stepchildren Lyle Wright and Lisa Knapp and step granddaughter Ashley Wright.
She is survived by her son Emmett (Amy) Knapp children, Sean, Branden, Megan of Blacksburg South Carolina and Donald (Nicole) Knapp, children, Cali, Ella, Keelan of Greene, daughter Rebecca (Jay) Corbin, Children Shawna (Dakota) and Ben Corbin of Norwich. Great Grandchildren Colton, Jordyn, Lane and Rylin of Norwich, Ezekiel and Lucy of Peidmont S.C, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Family and Friends may call R.J. Fahy’s Funeral Home in Norwich on December 18, 2022, at 11 a.m. then a celebration of life at noon at Norwich Legion on Sheldon Street, Norwich, N.Y.
She will be dearly missed by all.
