Karen Lenning

Karen was born on June 19, 1961 in Hamilton, NY the daughter of Franklin and Jacqueline (Evans) Jones. She attended the Sherburne-Earlville School from which she graduated in 1981. In the early 1980’s she met Lloyd Lenning who she married in May of 1986. He has since passed away. In October of 1991 she met her longtime companion, George Bump. George passed away November 25, 2010. During these years she made her home in South Plymouth and Norwich and has lived in Bainbridge for the past 4 years. In earlier years she had worked for the Norwich Shoe Company.

Karen is survived by her children; Kelly Phoenix and husband Michael of Walton, Jason Lenning and husband C.D Ketchum III of Norwich and her grandchildren Alyssa Ferguson, Leah Ferguson and Nora Smith-Ketchum along with an unborn grandson. Also surviving are her sisters Christine (Wayne) Brown of Norwich, Cindy (Christopher) Lenning of Sherburne, Carol (Robert) VanCourt of Norwich, Jean (John) Davis of Sherburne and her brother Franklin Jones Jr. of Earlville.

Karen was predeceased by her sister-in-law Raynelle Jones.

A Celebration of Life for Karen will be held on Sunday August 16, from 2-4 pm at the home of her brother Franklin Jones of Earlville.
