Joan K. Brown

Joan K. Brown, 88 passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Valley View Manor. Joan was a loving and caring wife and mother, always thinking of her family, cooking delicious meals or crocheting gifts for them. On June 14, 1952, Joan married Robert Brown and they have shared 66 years of marriage. Other survivors include her children, Guy and Patricia Brown, Wendy and Walt Upham, Cindy Rowe, and Kelly Cushman; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, James and Donna Crawford; her sister, Judy and Gary Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents, John and Ethel Crawford; her grandson, Andrew B. Cushman; her brother, John “Jack” Crawford; and her sister, Jane Dunham. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 1st, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home 116 N. Broad St. Norwich with Rev. Jeremy B. Stopford officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 until the time of service.
