Jennifer was born on October 9, 1973 to Susan (Terns) Oram and David Oram. She was a graduate of Mohawk Central School.
Jennifer was known by many for her loving sense of humor, she worked most of her life in the Mohawk Valley as a manager at various retail stores before moving to Norwich NY in February of 2016 and continuing her career at Mirabito. If you walked into one of her stores, you would see she was hardworking, dedicated and loved all of her customers, building a special relationship with each and every one of them.
Jennifer spent most of her time working and taking pride in the store she managed. But when she wasn’t there, she enjoyed sudoku puzzles, watching drama, and hanging out with her grandchildren any chance she got. She loved being outdoors and enjoying the wilderness in her free time. She enjoyed salty snacks and various chocolates, and had a love for gardening and plants.
Jennifer is survived by her spouse Matthew Langille, who loved her deeply and made sure her end of life was as comfortable and loving as could be. She is also survived by her children Victoria Hapeman (Norwich, NY), Andrew Hennings (Herkimer, NY), Stephen Hapeman (Poughkeepsie, NY), Chelsea Hapeman (Oneonta, NY), Cheyanne Langille (Albany, NY), Dylan Langille (Oxford, NY), and Candace and Hector Hernandez (Norwich, NY), as well as her grandchildren who were the light of her life; Gracelynn Zimmerman, Hector Hernandez Jr, Aaiden Hernandez, Devante Hernandez, Raquel Hernandez and Scarlett Young. She is also survived by her mother Susan Oram; Father, David (Beverly) Oram; Sister, Bridget Oram; and her brothers Christopher and Brandon Oram.
In typical Jennifer fashion there will be no formal services, per her request. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday October 7th at 11 am at Gilbert Lake in the beach pavilion. All are welcome to come celebrate the wonderful life of Jennifer.
Jennifer was a strong fighter, but can now rest peacefully and pain free. Her family would like to send a heart felt thank you to both the Mirabito family, as well as the staff at both Wilson Hospital and Binghamton and the Chenango Memorial Hospital (Short term rehabilitation center) in Norwich NY, for keeping her as comfortable as possible, providing her with amazing care, and loving on her and her family in her last few weeks of life. We could not have made it through this difficult time without them.
“If there ever comes a day we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever”
