Janet E. Carter, 60, of Norwich, passed away on Wednesday, March 23 at her home. Janet was born in Norwich to the late Charles and Julia Myers; she was also predeceased by her sister, Linda Hutta. Survivors include her son, Matthew Thompson; her daughter, Jessica Thompson; her grandchildren, Janelle, Jozlyn, and Kinsley; her brothers and sisters, Daniel Myers, Catherine and Jeffrey Eagan, and Charles and Gail Myers; many nieces and nephews, as well as her good friends, Patricia Laden, and Robert Cast.
Janet was a lifelong Norwich resident, she appreciated many forms of music, from Country, to Hip Hop and R&B, just to name a few. She also spent many hours on her elliptical machine and kayaking in the local rivers.
Janet’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich.
