Janet R. Byrne

September 13, 2023 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home.

She was born on December 13, 1941 in Preston, NY to the late

Wesley and Mildred (Franklin) Law.

She was a 1960 graduate of Norwich High School.

Then attending the Imperial School of Beauty Culture

in Endicott, NY and was a licensed beautician for over

30 years. In 1961 she married Patrick Byrne.

She joined Norwich-Eaton Pharmaceuticals Inc in 1965

and retired in 1997. She had also worked at the Chat 'n

Chew and the Poor House briefly.

Janet liked the NY Yankees, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, playing

pitch, dancing and hanging with friends and family.

But most of all loved spending time with the grandkids

and great grandkids. She was a member of the American

Legion Post 189 and VFW of Norwich for many years.

She is survived by her daughters Lana (James) Deuel and

Lesley "Lee" Byrne, her sister Betty (Del) Law, grandchildren

Heath (Jennifer) Shepard, Ryanne (Mike) Shepard, her great

grandchildren RyLee Shepard, Colbii Youngs, Bella Shepard,

Ryian Youngs, Lincoln Shepard, and also, many nieces,

nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and

ex-husband Patrick Byrne.

Arrangements have been entrusted to R. J. Fahy Funeral Home.

Per her wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral. As she

would say, enjoy the memories with a shot and a beer.
