James (Jim) Manwarren, 56, of South Plymouth, passed away on May 20, 2020, after a hard battle at Wilson Hospital. He was a 1981 graduate of Norwich City Schools. After graduating, Jim worked for NYSDOT for over 20 years, and also the Town of Pharsalia, Cianbro Construction and many other places. He was a hobby farmer, avid hunter and loved to have a BEER with the many friends and family he had. He could crack up any room he entered without ever trying. His grandchildren, family and friends were the focus and joy of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lynn Jr. and Janice Manwarren; his brother, Doug Manwarren; and his mother in law, Cora Tefft. Survivors include his wife, Helen Manwarren; his son, Brian Manwarren; his daughters, Sheleen Manwarren, and Cora Manwarren; his step-daughter, Samantha Haley; his sisters, Tammy Hamlin; Cindy and Miguel Uribe; his grandchildren, Aubree, Brinlee, Kaiden and Makenna; his in laws, Marcene and Barbara Tefft; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
At Jim’s request, there will be a celebration of life gathering to take place at a later date.
