Harry adored kids, they were always a tender spot in his otherwise tough persona. The littles ones in his life had him wrapped around their tiny fingers and they knew it.
He was a welder, proudly self employed. Railings, trailers - practical things like that, but every once in a while he became an artist, although he would never admit it. He had a fascination with nature’s most powerful forces and would recreate them out of steel - an imploding supernova, a bolt of lightning, a spider stalking it’s prey. He never figured out how to say he cared in words so instead he grew his love. Dinner plate dahlias bigger than your head. He would pass them out with a sheepish grin to the ladies in his life. He had a pipe dream to open an organic farm stand just outside of town but never quite got around to it. He loved trillium hunting in spring. He was an unmatched pool shark. He could tear up a disco floor back in the day. He was a hunter, a fisherman, a history buff and a lover of nature.
Harry is preceded by his son Tim “Moogle” Wenzel and beloved cat Rocko Cheesburger. He is survived by his children Jody (& Nicole) Wenzel, Katie (& Kenny) Rhodes, Lori Wenzel; grandsons Julian Wenzel and Brandon (& Jessica) Murch and Lisa Murch, as well as his dear friend Carolyn Eldridge.
