Gail M. French

Gail was born in Oneonta, NY on August 31, 1948 the daughter of Ernest and Iris (DeJoy) Bemis. She grew up in the Morris area and was a graduate of the Norwich High School. Over the years Gail had worked in the Home Health Care field working with many families in the surrounding area. In 2002 she married Richard French who survives and they have made their home in Oxford since that time.

Gail was a happy go lucky lady who enjoyed a good time. She was a religious person and her faith was the root of her being.

Beside her husband Richard, Gail is survived by her son Larry Snyder of Binghamton, step-children Rick (Lori) French of Greene, Francis French of Montrose, PA, Bruce (Ursula) French of Albuquerque, NY and Dawn French of Mt. Upton, NY. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jasmine and Hail Snyder and great granddaughter Leah Close and her brother Buddy (Anna) Bemis of Oneonta. Many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A funeral service for Gail will be held on Monday, November 20, at Noon from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the North Norwich Cemetery. Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at Noon. Following the service and burial there will be a luncheon at the East Pharsalia Fire House.
