Diane Jeffrey

Diane was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 6, 1960 the daughter of Dietmar Solbrig and Helga (Wergin) Solbrig Rush and moved to Waterville, NY as a child. While living in Waterville she attended the Waterville Central School from which she graduated. Soon thereafter she moved to Norwich where she married her husband, Mark Jeffrey. Diane had been an employee of the Norwich Pennysaver for 40 years.

Diane was an animal lover and was always there to rescue any animal in need. She leaves behind her cherished pets, Mossy, Remy and Cujo the cat. She was an accomplished gardner with an amazing green thumb. She also was an avid deer hunter. Diane enjoyed anything nature and would go camping with her husband whenever she could. She had a dry sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Mark Jeffrey of Norwich, her mother Helga Rush of Waterville, NY and her father Dietmar Solbrig of Terre Hill, PA. She also leaves behind her sisters Monika (Robert) Santucci of Cicero, Brenda (George) Pappas of NC, her brothers William Rush of Leonardsville, NY, Richard (Susan) Solbrig of TN, Robert (Kathy) Rush of Eaton, Eric (Sandy) Solbrig of PA, nephew Jeffrey (Taylor) Santucci of Cicero, niece Gabrielle (Josh) Rush and family, her uncle Klaus (Erika) Wergin, uncle Peter Wergin, aunt Barbara (Horst) Kukulies and family, aunt Elizabeth (David) Kocyba and family. Also surviving are her sister in laws and brother in laws Brenda (Gerald) Cuyle, Christine Jeffrey and Tim (Peggy) Jeffrey all of Norwich, her step mother in law Lorraine Jeffrey of Norwich. Many cousins also survive along with a special cousin Karin who shared Diane’s passion for hunting.

A Memorial Service for Diane will be held on Saturday, January 16, at 1:00 pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Saturday from Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
