Charlotte L. Morano went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2022. She was born & raised in Norwich, graduated from Norwich High School in 1956. She was a lifelong resident except for the 3 years her husband served in the active army. They were stationed in Fort Rucker, AL and Fort Belvoir, VA.
She dedicated her life to raising her children, as well as being a licensed daycare professional in her home for Chenango County for 15 years. Then started her career at Proctor & Gamble and retired from there after 20+ years.
Charlotte was definitely one of those young mothers who did all kinds of fun stuff with her daughter & son. Her biggest passion and favorite thing to do was spending time at Virgina Beach with her family, basking in the sun, riding the waves, shopping and roller blading on the boardwalk at night. She also was an excellent embroider. She spent hundreds of hours with her sister, mother and then daughter making some beautiful pieces that will be held and cherished forever. We are grateful to have those items to hold close.
She was an excellent cook. There wasn’t anything she didn’t make that wasn’t delicious, and she loved doing it. She had her own ideas, but would also sit and watch the cooking shows in the morning for additional inspirations. In the evening, she really enjoyed working on word puzzles and just relaxing. She was always busy, that’s how she liked to be.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Edward D. Morano, of Norwich; her daughter and best friend, Melissa R. Berry, of Norwich; her son, M. Scott Morano, of FL; her grandsons, Reese M. Berry, of Norwich, and Chase E. Morano, of FL.
Services for Charlotte will be private.
