Autumn B. Law

She was born in Norwich NY on March 11, 1934 along with her twin sister Audrey who passed away at eleven and a half months. She was the daughter of Willous E. Cole and Marion Bard Cole Truesdale. Autumn graduated from Norwich H.S. in 1954, entered the US Army in October 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1956. She married Alvin Law June 25th 1961, they were happily married for 20 years, before he passed on February 3rd, 1981. They had two children Jack and Jill Law. Autumn worked for Norwich Pharmaceutical Co., which then became Proctor and Gamble from 1961, retiring in 1995. She lived the majority of her life in Norwich until she moved to Fort Mill, SC to live with her son and his family in 2015.

She was a member of the Broad St. United Methodist church where she enjoyed volunteering. Autumn had many likes such as dancing and completing the jumble in the paper. She loved to take long walks with her Yorkie, Hampton. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family; her son Jack Law and daughter-in-law Theresa Law whom she lived with later in life.

Autumn was predeceased by her daughter, Jill Law in 1989; her sisters, Gloria McNitt, and Beverly L. Slentz; her brothers, Thomas Downey, Robert Downey, and Eugene Downey. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Jack and Theresa Law, of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Jessica Law, and Jenna and Seth Nun; and her great grandchild, Joanna Warren; her brother, John and Marcia Cole, of Florida. As well as many loving nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in Law.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on September 26th, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N Broad St, Norwich, with Rev. Mary Rublee officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
