Allen led a life of service, kindness, and dedication. A proud graduate of Norwich High School, he spent many years as a self-employed, licensed electrician, earning the respect and trust of his community. He was always willing to lend a hand, often going above and beyond to help those in need. His generosity extended beyond his profession, as he was a beloved member of Bible Baptist Church, where he served as an organist and a staunch supporter of its activities.
Allen had a deep love for nature, particularly flowers and gardening, finding peace and joy in nurturing the earth around him. He was a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, always putting others first and radiating kindness and warmth to those fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Arlene Bagg; his daughter, Brenda Knapp; and his son, Jim Bagg (Dawn). He was a cherished grandfather to Sara, Sheena, Alex, Jada, Adrien, Ariel, and Amy, and a proud great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. His love for his family was boundless, and his legacy will live on in each of them.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Bagg and Frances Smith.
A celebration of Allen's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Millbrook Beach & Campgrounds, Nate Clark Lane, New Berlin, NY 13411. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share memories of a man whose heart was as big as his legacy.
Allen's kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
