Alfred P. Thompson Jr.

Alfred Pierce Thompson, Jr., 63, of Norwich, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. He was born in Norwich on February 12, 1960 to Alfred P., Sr. and Maude Thompson. Alfred grew up in the Norwich area and made his living as a mechanic with Victory Warehouse and later with Norwich Pharmaceuticals. He was also an accomplished builder, and loved building his own house and adding to his property to make it look better. He was a country music fan and spent his spare time hunting and fishing. Alfred also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he made sure to visit his mother every Sunday.

Alfred is survived by his children, Alfred P. Thompson, III, Joshua J. Thompson, Matthew E. Thompson, and Jessica L. Thompson; his mother, Maude E. Thompson; his brothers, Francis Tucker, Christopher Thompson, and Martin Thompson; as well as his sister, Debra White.

Alfred will be laid to rest privately at Willcox Cemetery in Earlville. The family will receive friends at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich on Friday, September 1st, from 10:00am until 1:00pm.
