Preston-William R. Mattern, age 54, of Preston, passed away at Groton Regency Healthcare in Groton on April 2, 2012. He was born on May 1, 1957 in Norwich to Alice (Sylvia) Mattern.
Besides his loving mother, he is survived by a brother Ted Mattern and his wife Mary Beth of Preston, a sister Lori Salter and her husband Chuck of Voluntown, a sister Sandee O’Connor and her husband Sean of Gales Ferry, a sister Michele Ahlborn and her husband Ned of Ledyard and many nieces and nephews. William is predeceased by Patti Bolduc whom he was in a long term relationship with for 17 years.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
