Virginia was a devoted wife, mother and family matriarch. She raised her family on Maple Avenue in Uncasville and summered on Oxoboxo Lake in Oakdale. Her immediate and extended family and friends were her lifelong focus. As part of her homemaking career, she became an accomplished life coach, surgeon, legal arbitrator and marriage/dating counselor to her family. Virginia was always upbeat and smiling and loved to laugh, especially during a “hot game of cards.” She enjoyed travelling with Bill—the stories of living in MS and FL while Bill was stationed there in the Army were always a joy to hear—they enjoyed car trips throughout New England, and especially to their timeshare on the Cape. Virginia was happiest when she was surrounded by friends and family at her beloved cottage on Oxoboxo Lake, where she lived until her passing. Her other passions and hobbies included church activities, gardening, arts and crafts, reading and baking.
