A beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Theodore Anson Hiscox, 72, entered eternal rest on April 9, 2023. He was born July 7, 1950 in Norwich, CT to the late Roy and Thelma (Johnson) Hiscox. Teddy was raised in Norwich and graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1969.
Teddy dedicated 40 plus years of service at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT. He was a Machinist providing the mechanical skills and support needed to help build the worlds’ most advanced nuclear submarines.
In his spare time, Teddy enjoyed owning, driving, and working on various sports cars. Some of his favorites throughout the years were his various Corvettes, TVRs, Cobras, and his beloved 914 Porsche. He loved driving his hot rods to car shows to display the work he had done to restore them. Working in “Ted’s Garage” was his favorite thing to do after he retired. He was always working on something for one of his sports cars.
Teddy would tell you his greatest achievement in life was his family. He was a proud and devoted father of two beautiful daughters. He never missed an opportunity to tell others about his girls and all that they have accomplished. Grandpa Teddy loved talking to his grandchildren and hearing about everything going on in their lives. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, as well as a generous and kind friend to many.
Survivors include two daughters: Kendra (Mark) Sackash and Kristen (Chandler) Yoquelet; four grandchildren: Kaelyn, Kellyn, Aidan, and Greyson; sister: Ellen (Hiscox) Tinturin; niece: Laura (Luppert) Burdick; great niece: Amanda; along with wonderful friends who were like family.
