Stephanie Sue Gilman Houser

Stephanie Sue Houser was born March 6, 1961 to the late Walter and Elizabeth Gilman in Norwich, CT. After graduating from NFA she met the love of her life, Michael Houser Sr. They were married on June 21, 1980 and had two sons, Michael Jr. and David. Stephanie was a kind, loving, generous person and always willing to help a friend when needed. She was an avid remodeler, always finding projects around the house to keep her and her husband busy. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, long walks and watching the Red Sox lose. Anytime she could be outside on a hot summer day she took the opportunity. For the past 22 years she worked at Foxwoods as a Shift Manager.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Michael Houser Sr. of Norwich, a son Michael Houser Jr. and his wife Amy, a son David Houser and his fiancée Jenesis and grandchildren Carter, Emma and Delonte. She also leaves behind brothers, Michael Gilman of Griswold, Billy Gillman of Griswold and sisters, Pat Comeau of Plainfield, Elizabeth Markham of Norwich and many nieces and nephews. Brothers, John, Ted and Dino and sister Brenda predecease her.

Family and friends may visit Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave, Norwich CT on Monday, May 11th from 6-8 pm. A mass will be held at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick, 211 Broadway, Norwich, CT on Tuesday, May 12th at 10 am. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
