Sandra Provost

With her two sons by her side, Sandra Lea Provost of Preston peacefully passed into eternal life Wednesday December 27th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 64. Sandi was born in Manchester April 18, 1959 and was the Daughter of the late Kenneth Provost of Lebanon.

Sandi served in the U.S Army after graduating from Norwich Free Academy in 1976, returning to the area after nearly 10 years on the West Coast. In 2012, she received an Associate Of Science Degree from Three Rivers Community College.

Sandi was known by many for decades having worked in the Food & Beverage industry including 14 years at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Sandi was a beautiful, sincere and loving soul with a heart of gold. Her life centered around her two sons, their wives, her three grandchildren and her large extended family. Sandi also had a deep love for her many cats over the years. She loved music, loved to sing, and played guitar and accordion. She was a beautiful, free-spirited woman who was also witty and smart. Although small in stature, Sandi could move mountains when it came to facing challenges, especially those toward the end of her life. She did indeed fight the good fight and will be missed by so many.

Sandi is survived by her son David Provost, his wife Danelle and newly-born Granddaughter Eviana of Gales Ferry; her son Tyler Provost, his wife Laura, and their children Aiden and Paisley of Savannah Georgia; a sister Sue Roberts of Voluntown. She is predeceased by a brother Robert Provost of Scotland. Sandi is also survived by foster parents William and Joyce Sullivan of Norwich; a foster brother Bruce Sullivan and his wife Kim of Florida. Sandi is predeceased by a foster brother Mark Sullivan of Lisbon.

Services will be held Thursday January 4th at First Congregational Church of Christ-Central Baptist Church 81 East Town St. Norwichtown. Calling hours at the church will be at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the North Lebanon Cemetery 85 Synagogue Road in Lebanon.
