She was born in Baltimore, MD on July 28, 1924 to the late Hyman and Dora Willen. On Sept. 28, 1946 she married her beloved husband Edwin Rudolph who died in 2007.
In her youth, she sang opera and during WWII, sang for the U.S.O. Rose’s essence though was selfless care and compassion for others throughout her life. As a loving wife, nurturing mother to her treasured children and beloved grand and great-grandchildren, then, with love and compassion enough to go beyond her own household, she also worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide providing care for others. She was a classy woman who loved to get dressed to the 9’s when she’d go out and about.
Rose is survived by her children; Michael Rudolph & wife Diana Kay, Lorraine Rudolph, Barry and Nadean Rudolph, David Rudolph, brothers; Isadore and Philip Willen, grandchildren; Joshua, Isaac, Seth, Shane & Chad Rudolph, John & Ray Hoffman and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Ed, Rose was also predeceased by her brothers; Ruben and Martin Willen and a grandson; Jeffrey Kim Rudolph.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 13th at 11am at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT with burial immediately following at Norwich Hebrew Benevolent Cemetery #3, Middle Rd., Preston, CT.
