Mrs. Robina Ruby Sharpe Sposato

She was born in Edinburgh Scotland on July 6, 1918 to the late Frank and Mary (Coull) Sharpe. On February 2, 1952 she married her beloved husband James J. Sposato at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich, CT. He predeceased her on July 17, 2001. While Ruby worked for a time at Red Tag Laundry in Montville and the former Norwich Capehart Mill, she was primarily a homemaker and mom. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Montville and enjoyed spending time at the Montville Senior Center and was a member of the Tops Club in Montville.

Ruby is survived by her daughter; Linda Sposato, son James Sposato III, sisters; Frances Clyde and Mary Hildbrandt, granddaughter; Jennifer J Nakamoto, grandson; James Sposato IV two great-grandchildren; Joseph and Isabelle and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother; George Sharpe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 1pm at St. John Church, Maple Av., Uncasville, CT immediately followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norwichtown Rehab. Center’s resident activity fund at 83 W. Town St., Norwich, CT.
