and best friend for 34 years, passed away on April 9th ,2025
He was born in Norwich on February 22nd 1947 and was the son of the late Lucien and Helen Mrowka.
On July 3, 1991 He was married to Kathleen Mrowka, the love of his life whom he lost on September 4th, 2022 . Peter graduated from Norwich Technical School in 1965 and worked for many years at Johnson’s Sand and Gravel of Norwich, also known as Tri J as their construction foreman. He then worked many years and retired from CT Dept of Transportation in Portland, CT as a Transportation Supervisor in their machinist shop. Peter was the type of man that could fix anything and everything, and even in his retirement he was still in his garage everyday working on projects and machinist jobs from his good friend Mark. He and Kathie enjoyed going to the Mohegan Sun to play their slot machine’s, watching baseball, Uconn girls basketball and were longtime Nascar racing fans. Peter and Kathie’s home was their sanctuary, their shared love of all the birds, squirrels, deers, and turkeys. They found plenty of food and refuge at their house. That was their happy place, they were hombodies because they loved each other's company.
Peter and Kathie…. Soulmates is the perfect word for them from the day they fell in love, he knew she was the one, his forever love. They lived a very happy life together and when his wife became ill, Peter took care of her in the most dedicated, loving and amazing way. The only thing bringing his children and loved ones peace is knowing they are together again with God and all of those that went before him. His loving daughter watched over him the last few years and made sure he knew he was never alone in the world as long as he had her. Daddy’s girl forever , their bond will never be broken.
Peter leaves behind his son Peter Mrowka Jr. and his daughter in law Julie Mrowka, his grandson Zebulon Mrowka and his daughter Kimberley Mrowka of Ledyard, Ct.
