Paul F Jatkowski

Coventry-Paul Francis “Ski” Jatkowski, age 96, of Coventry, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 with family at his side. Paul was born October 12,1927 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was the son of Paul Jatkowski and Laura McGuire of Norwich, Connecticut.

Paul graduated from the Norwich Free Academy. He then served in the Army and was stationed in Germany as a radio communications operator. He and Jeanne met at church and married on October 7,1950. While working for the government they had many overseas adventures in over a dozen countries before settling back in the States in Derwood, Maryland and then Coventry, Connecticut, where they resided for the last 45 years raising their family. There have been many wonderful memories of festive holidays with family and friends through the years. Paul loved gardening, fishing, and clamming for quahogs in Rhode Island during family camping trips. He was involved in real estate and active in several town and civic organizations.

Paul was predeceased by his loving wife of 72 years, Jeanne Elizabeth. He leaves his three children, son Clint and his wife Darlene, of Helena, Montana and their children, Zoey, Angela, Quenten, Dilan and Weston, daughter Lisa Therrien and her husband Leon, of Westfield, Massachusetts and their son, Ryan, and son Scott and his wife, Musa, of Coventry, Connecticut and their children, Conner and wife Rebecca, Austin, JeanMarie VanLoon and husband Ben, Jeremy and wife Marisa, and Gabrielle. He leaves three great-grandchildren, Josiah, Annie and Juliana. Paul also leaves sister-in-law, Barbara Morehouse of Georgetown, MA, and nieces and nephew, Ellen, Robert and Gail. Paul will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family takes comfort in knowing that Paul and Jeanne are together again.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the First United Methodist Church, 29 Puddin Lane, Mansfield Center, CT on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Burial services will be private for the family.
