Margaret "Peg" J. Campanelli, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, in Bozrah, Connecticut, at the age of 79. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Beatrice and Harry Wignall.
Peg, known for her caring and loving nature, was a warm and kind soul who touched the lives of many. She had a deep appreciation for the earth and a love of nature that was evidenced in her joy of being outside, working in her yard. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the companionship of many pets throughout her life. Peg donated time as a Hospice volunteer; she was a Reiki Master and also studied Reflexology. She was an avid reader and was a member of the library's book club, a lifelong learner and enjoyed travelling.
In her professional life, having earned two master's degrees, Peg was an Advanced Math Teacher and later served as a Correctional Head Nurse for the State of Connecticut. She dedicated her career to nurturing young minds and providing care to those in need.
In retirement Peg joyfully served on the Sprague Library Board, Inland Wetlands Committee and Commission on Aging in her beloved town of Sprague.
Peg leaves behind her sons Paul Rapoza (Heather) and Scot Rapoza (Joanne Semmelrock), her brother Robert Wignall (Ursula), sister Sheila Ross (Ralph) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore J. Campanelli, her parents Beatrice and Harry Wignall, and her brother Harrison Wignall.

Peg will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her legacy of kindness and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
