Lorraine E. (Shalkowski) Czajkowski

Yantic-Lorraine E. Czajkowski, age 71, passed away at the Backus Hospital on December 5, 2023. She was born in Norwich on April 11, 1952 to the late Frank and Madeline (Ahearn) Shalkowski. Her husband Stanley Czajkowski predeceased her.

Lorraine graduated with her Master's Degree in Education and taught third grade at St. Joseph's School in Norwich for over 30 years.

She is survived by her sister Janet Orsi of Waterford and by her brothers Thomas Shalkowski of Florida and James Shalkowski of Norwich and nephews Jason and Jeffrey Shalkowski of Florida.

The family would like to thank the staff at Backus Hospital and Hartford Healthcare Hospice for the wonderful care they gave her. Donations may be made, in her memory, to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
