Linda Ann Homiski LaFleur died Thursday Sept. 14 2023, at her home. She was born on June 12, 1959 in Norwich Ct.,to the late Alfred and Mary Homiski.
She was the wife of David B. LaFleur Sr. She leaves behind two sons David B. LaFleur Jr, and Joshua Montgomery Sr., and a daughter April Montgomery Medellin.
She also leaves her grandchildren Lilli Montgomery, Joshua Montgomery Jr., Alex B. LaFleur,and Korra LaFleur, as well as her two brothers Deacon Alfred Homiski Jr. and Robert Homiski both of Connecticut, as well as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Linda graduated from NFA in 1977 and then from Three Rivers in 1987. She then attended Eastern Ct. State University with a bachelor’s degree. She became a certified nursing assistant working in home agencies and nursing homes and then became a Therapeutic Assistant.
Her passion was music, piano and keyboard where she worked with Alzheimer/Dementia patients doing music therapy for them. She was a social worker for a short time before a parent became ill.
She loved playing cards(cribbage), games, animals, camping, playing with grandchildren/children, bowling, reading, swimming, and oil painting. But her first love was piano/keyboard as she was able to play by ear and by notes.
Visitation will be held at the Church and Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem St. Norwich on Friday Sept. 22, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A reception will be held Friday Sept. 22, beginning at 7:30 pm at the American Polish Citizens Club 670 Voluntown Road Griswold.
