Juliana was born November 25, 1941 in Norwich the daughter of Joseph and Magdalena Dudek Stencel.
A lifelong resident of the area Juliana was a graduate St. Joseph’s School class of 1955 and Norwich Free Academy class of 1959. She worked at Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center, Uncas on the Thames and retired from the workforce from Seaside Regional Care Center in Waterford. Juliana enjoyed the outdoors especially sitting outside listening to and watching songbirds.
Juliana is survived by three children; Cheryl Jolly, John Jolie Jr., and Cindy Bernardo, two grandsons; Anthony and Joseph Bernardo, two brothers Leon Stencel and his wife Kathryn and Joseph Stencel and his wife Dagma and a sister Jean Stencel. She was predeceased by brothers John and Stephen Stencel and sisters Helen Higham and Sophie Trojanowski.
A funeral service will be held at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11 am. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
