Josephine Carmella Demarco Delesio

Norwich-Josephine Carmella Delesio, age 86, of Norwich, passed away on July 12, 2015 at Bayview Healthcare in Waterford. She was born on March 19, 1929 in Providence, RI to the late Arthur and Adelina (Mastrostefano) Demarco. She married Joseph P. Delesio on June 17, 1950 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Providence, RI. He predeceased her on May 26, 2001.

Josephine worked for many years as a sales clerk at both Woolworth in downtown Norwich and Surplus Unlimited. She loved being around people.

She is survived by a son Joseph Delesio of Moosup, a daughter Jean Fawcett and her husband Robert of Manheim, PA, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Edward Demarco in January of 2001.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville. Burial will immediately follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
