Torchia- Joseph Lawrence Torchia, 83, of Norwich died Friday Nov. 11, 2016 at his home. He was born in Norwich, son of the late Joseph and Marianna (Mattera) Torchia. Mr. Torchia was a loan officer at the Connecticut Bank and Trust Co. for many years until his retirement. He is survived by 2 sisters; Madeline Wooldridge and her husband David E. Wooldridge of Portsmouth N.H. and Nancy Smith of Albuquerque N.M., a brother Louis Torchia and his wife Anna of Riverside CA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Anthony Torchia. Visitation will be Friday Nov. 18, 2016 from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at the Labenski Funeral Home 107 Boswell Ave. Norwich followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Cathedral of St. Patrick Norwich.
