Jeanne Elizabeth Jatkowski, age 90, of Coventry, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 with family at her side. Jeanne was born March 13,1932 in Norwich, Connecticut. She was the daughter of S. Eugene and Louise Rogers of Leffingwell, Connecticut.
Jeanne graduated from Norwich Free Academy. She and Paul met at church and married on October 7,1950. They enjoyed many overseas adventures in over a dozen countries before settling back in the States in Derwood, Maryland and then Coventry, Connecticut where they have resided for the last 44 years raising their family. There have been many wonderful memories of festive holidays with family and friends through the years. Jeanne loved the beach, and enjoyed reading, gardening, and antiquing, and she was an active member of a homemakers group.
Jeanne leaves behind her loving husband of 72 years, Paul “Ski” Jatkowski. She also leaves her three children, Clint and his wife Darlene, of Helena, Montana and their children, Zach, Angela, Quenten, Dilan and Weston, daughter Lisa and her husband Leon, of Westfield, Massachusetts and their son, Ryan, and son Scott and his wife, Musa, of Coventry, Connecticut and their children, Conner and wife Rebecca, Austin, JeanMarie and husband Ben, Jeremy and Gabrielle. She leaves two great-grandchildren, Josiah and Annie. She also leaves her sister, Barbara Morehouse of Georgetown, MA, and nieces and nephew, Ellen, Robert and Gail, and extended family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the First United Methodist Church, 29 Puddin Lane, Mansfield Center, CT on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Burial services will be private for the family.
