Bill was born on Aug. 21, 1933 in Franklin to the late Jason and Lillian (Caulkins) Kingsley. After high school, he served his country in the US Army until his Honorable Discharge. Then, on June 11, 1960 he married his loving wife Janice Segar at St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic, CT. She predeceased him in 2003.
After his military service, Bill worked as a foreman for S.N.E.T. until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughters; Laurie (Edward) Nevins of Norwich, Lisa Kingsley of Franklin, and Lynn (Paul) Lavey of Andover, sisters; May MacGlaflin of Bozrah and Janis Murtha of Uncasville, grandchildren; Michael and Corey Nevins of Norwich and Clayton Lavey of Andover and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Bill was also predeceased by 5 siblings, and two grandchildren; Noah and Quintin Lavey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 29, at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 52 W Town St., Norwichtown, CT. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Plains Cemetery, Franklin, CT. There are no calling hours.
