He was born April 12, 1930 in Groton Connecticut.
He is survived by his nephew Keith Burrows of Waterford.
He was predeceased by his longtime companion Jennie Coates, whom he loved with all of his heart. When Jennie passed away, he missed her every day and longed to be with her again.
Charles was an avid writer, and was known for his poems, of which many can be found in the Library of Congress. He was well known for his letters to the editor in the New London Day Newspapers. At one time, Charles had played semi-pro baseball.
Charles was a great person and a good friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
Charles ashes will be buried in the Burrows family cemetery along side of his mother and father.
