Barbara Sullivan

Norwich-Barbara T. Sullivan, 80, of 54 Forest View Drive in Norwich and formerly of Harrington Court in Colchester, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the William W. Backus Hospital.

Barbara was born December 10, 1937 in Norwich, the daughter of the late Theodore Stavrou and Olga (Elia) Bowman.

She was a 1957 graduate of Norwich Free Academy and was formerly employed as a nursing/recreation assistant at the Three Rivers Healthcare in Norwich from 1985 until her retirement in 1997.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and of the Rose City Senior Center. She loved to sew and especially enjoyed playing bingo and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed playing Kings in the Corner with her son Tom.

Barbara is survived by her son Thomas Sullivan of Norwich, daughter Deborah Vinyard of Norwich, twin brother Leonard Stavrou of Canterbury, brothers Peter Stavrou of MA, John Bowman of Wolcott, CT, sisters Elaine Hansen of North Hampton, NH, Patricia Moravek of Alpharetta, GA, her granddaughter Stephanie Vinyard of Norwich and several nieces and nephews.
