Barbara was born in St. Albans, Vermont on September 24,1936 to Lyman and Agnes Clapper. She later moved to Connecticut with her family, and married William B. Hempstead. She later married Donald Hunt and they traveled before settling in Norwich, Connecticut.
Barbara is survived by a son, Chris, and his wife Debbie. Son-in-law, Patrick, grandson Joshua, wife Brie and their daughter Aoife. She is also survived by her brother Richard, sister Carol Carver, and several nieces and nephews as well as caring friends who helped her celebrate life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving daughter, Cathy Lynn Pont.
