Alice Ruley

She was born in Clarksville, TN on March 1, 1929 to the late Governor and Pearl (Skelton) Wright.

Alice’s passion in life was caring for her extensive family who she was always there for. Her family

consisted of blood relatives and countless others whom she considered as family. Her primary lesson

she tried to instill on everyone was independence and she led that life until the very end. She will be

deeply missed by many.

She is survived by her sons; Harry Ruley II and James Howard, daughters; Elizabeth Baker, Anna P.

Brown, Barbara J. Sands, Elisha Ruley, Andrea Ruley, daughter-in-law; Antoinetta Rodrigues , 35

grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild

along with numerous nieces and nephews and her former husband, Harry Ruley Sr.

Alice is predeceased by her sons; Henry (Rab) Ruley and Gregory Ruley, her three sisters and brother.

Alice leaves behind two dear friends Ann and Linda.

Funeral Services will be Friday at noon at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. A

calling hour will begin at 11am until the time of the service. Burial is private at the convenience of the

family.
