Born on October 29, 1946, in the small town of Rockville Centre, NY, Alice was raised with values rooted in integrity and empathy. From an early age, she displayed a remarkable sense of empathy and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. These qualities guided her throughout her life, shaping her into the exceptional person she became.
Alice's passion for nursing led her to pursue a career as a dedicated RN and then APRN. For over 20 years, she dedicated herself to he duties. Alice was revered by her colleagues and adored by her patients, who remember her for her compassion.
Outside of her professional life, Alice was deeply committed to her family. She was a devoted and a loving mother to her three children, Catherine, Julie, and Robert and a grandmother to Sarah. Alice's nurturing nature and unconditional love were the foundation of her family, creating a warm and supportive environment that brought them closer together. She cherished family gatherings, where stories were shared, laughter echoed through the room, and memories were created.
Alice had a zest for life that extended beyond her immediate family, and she actively participated in various community initiatives. She volunteered at local charities, offering her time and resources to help those in need. Alice's generosity knew no bounds, and she always had a listening ear and a helping hand for anyone who sought her guidance or support.
In her free time, Alice enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers with tender care. She found solace in nature, appreciating its beauty and finding peace in its embrace. Alice Harding is survived by her children, Catherine, Julie and Robert, her granddaughter, Sarah and extended family, and countless friends whose lives were forever enriched by her presence. While we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the love she shared. Alice's memory will continue to inspire us, and her spirit will forever reside in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on June 27, 2023, at 5 pm at the Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich, CT, where we will gather to honor and remember Alice's life. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 4pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
