Edward Robert “Bobby” Connor age 88 of Chatsworth, California, died peacefully on February 17, 2022. He was the son of the late John and Frances Connor. Formerly of Stamford, Connecticut, he served proudly in both the United States Army and Navy receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Probst Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and the Navy Occupation Service Medal (Europe Clasp). He also worked proudly as an engineer at Lockheed Martin Aerospace Company for 40 years. Ed was an avid runner and animal lover. Ed had a wonderful sense of humor and an endless supply of love and strength for his family and friends. He created a loving and welcoming home for his family and always supported and encouraged them to do their best each day in every area of their lives.
The beloved husband of 62 years to Joan M. Connor, who provided devoted and loving care to Edward throughout their marriage.
Cherished father of Judith A. Connor of Vista, California, Edward H. Connor and his wife, Eleanor, of Canoga Park, California, Charles G. Connor and his wife, Joelle, of West Covina, California, and Sarah E. Connor of West Los Angeles, California.
Grandfather of Edward, Carmen, Sean, Megan, Cassidy, and Paige. Great grandfather of Zyanya, Adam, and Zachariah. Ed was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He leaves his sister, Carolyn Meloni, of Stamford, Connecticut and sister-in-law, Marie Connor of Monroe, Connecticut and brother-in-law Edward Harrington of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Edward is predeceased by his wife, Joan, his siblings, John Connor, Paul Connor, and Donald Connor, and his sisters-in-laws Carol Connor, Dolores Connor, Alice Harrington, Ruth Wenger, and Peggy Harrington and brothers-in-law Jack Harrington and Paul Wenger.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join the family for fond remembrance of Edward at a memorial mass on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11am at St. John Eudes Church located at 9901 Mason Ave, Chatsworth, CA 91311, which will be immediately followed by his interment at San Fernando Mission Cemetery located at 11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
