Four random numbers, no real order,
No great date in History, Ordinarily no Man or Woman
would take a second glance.
But etched upon a Star of Gold, that sits above
His Heart so Bold, My Knight in Shining Armour.
So, let me tell those of you gathered here,
what the number 9852 means to me.
A Kind and Loving Husband,
A Wonderful Father to Sharon, Andrew and Michael.
A Hero in my heart.A warm and gentle Soul-mate.
Strong arms to hold me and protect me
when Life is hard or unkind.
A Worthy Son, A Faithful Brother,
A Special Son-in-Law, and a Great Uncle.
A sense of humour. A lover of Animals.
A Survivor, A gentle Giant.
A God fearing man. An Officer and a Gentleman.
Someone to tell my troubles to. A Mr. Fix-it.
A quiet whisper in my ear, a smile to end each day.
An arm around my shoulder.
A favourite song, a slow dance in the moonlight.
A shared joke, a sweet kiss.
A hand to hold his little Girl at their first Father/Daughter dance.
Hands that taught their Son’s to ride on their first bikes & rollerblades,
Their first haircuts & Disneyland trips, & making happy memories
on Family holidays.
A Provider, A Lover, A heart of Gold.
A good friend, and honest man, a true colleague.
